Terms of service

Last updated November 3, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Knowme Travel ("Knowme", "we"), a California company. By using Knowme at knowmetravel.com, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.

Who may use Knowme

You must be 18 or older. A travel advisor may manage a traveler's profile only when that traveler has invited them in the app, and only for that traveler.

Your account

  • Use your own email address, and keep your password to yourself.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what an advisor you invited does there.
  • Tell us at hello@knowmetravel.com if you think someone else is using it.

Your content

Your preferences, reviews, notes and photos stay yours. You give us permission to store them, show them where you ask us to (on your share links and shared reviews), and show your review photos to other travelers on that place, with your first name and last initial. You also let us count your answers into totals that don't identify you. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for totals already made.

Write reviews about what really happened. Rate whether what you asked for was there, not whether you liked the person who served you.

Photo rules

Photos must show the place or what you were served. No nudity or anything sexual. No unrelated text. No photos of people. We may remove any photo that breaks these rules, or that another traveler reports and we agree.

Acceptable use

Don't:

  • post anything false, unlawful, hateful or meant to harass;
  • review a place you didn't visit, or one you own or work for;
  • use someone else's account, or open a share link you weren't meant to have;
  • copy Knowme's catalog or data in bulk, or scrape it;
  • try to break, overload or get around Knowme's security or limits.

Providers and suppliers

Hotels, airlines, restaurants and bars, car services, car rental companies and brands get access to Knowme data only by a separate written agreement with us. That access is limited to what travelers chose to share and to totals that don't identify anyone. A share link a traveler sends you is for serving that traveler on that trip.

Places and brands

Facts about places and brands come from many sources and can be wrong or out of date. Knowme doesn't book, sell or guarantee any trip. Providers decide what they can offer; a preference is a request, never an order.

No warranty

Knowme is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it running and correct, but we don't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that any provider will act on your preferences. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, Knowme isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for what a provider does or doesn't do. Our total liability for any claim about Knowme is limited to $100 or what you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is more. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Ending your use

You can stop using Knowme and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we do, your share links stop working.

Governing law

California law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in California, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email before a change that matters takes effect. Using Knowme after that means you accept the new terms.
